AJ Sabbath
Co-Founder – AMG
Designee of The New Jersey State Building and Construction Trades Council
AJ Sabath is the co-founder of AMG and has spent more than 20 years working in government and politics in New Jersey. He has held prominent positions in state government and is a veteran of many local, statewide and congressional political campaigns.
During his time in New Jersey, he has cultivated strong relationships with many key government decision makers. He is a three-time member of the Politics NJ power list of New Jersey’s 100 most politically influential personalities. AJ has served as the Chief of Staff to the Senate President, Commissioner of the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and he has held several senior staff positions in the General Assembly and State Senate.
Since 2000, AJ has participated in a number of important political campaigns. He served as the New Jersey State Co-Director for the Kerry-Edwards Presidential Campaign, ran the New Jersey Senate Democratic Campaigns in 2003 and 2007, and was the statewide Field Director for the election campaign of U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg.
He previously served as a political organizer for U.S. Senator Jon Corzine, Congressmen Rush Holt, Steve Rothman and Bill Pascrell, and many other legislative and local Democratic candidates.
Prior to his service in state government, AJ worked as Public Affairs Director for the MWW Group, as a Field Representative for the National Democratic Institute in Baku, Azerbaijan, and as an Organizer for the New Jersey Tenants Organization. While at MWW, AJ represented the World Sikh Council, the Constitutional Monarchy Movement of Iraq and the Puerto Rico Statehood Movement.
AJ received his bachelor’s degree in social work from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He currently is a member of the Board of Trustees for Ramapo College of New Jersey and a board member of the New Jersey Association of State Colleges and Universities.

Joseph A. Fiordaliso
President – ACECNJ
Designee of ACECNJ
Joe Fiordaliso serves as President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey (ACECNJ), the business trade association for the consulting engineering industry. Upon his appointment to this position in 2011 Fiordaliso led a bottom-up overhaul of the organization, stabilizing and rebuilding membership, developing strong programs and events, and reestablishing the organization’s advocacy presence in Trenton. Under Joe’s leadership, ACECNJ regained its position as trusted voice before policy-makers and stakeholders. Today, ACECNJ is known throughout New Jersey and the region as an effective and influential advocacy organization, fighting to protect the business interests of A/E firms. Joe has also served in national leadership roles, including as President of the National Association of Engineering Company Executives (NAECE); a member of ACEC’s national Executive Committee; and a member of the Board of Directors of the ACEC Research Institute.
Joe is a seasoned public policy professional with vast experience and expertise solving complex governmental issues. During a career that spans over twenty-five years, Joe has held prominent positions in and out of government. He has distinguished himself as a trusted advisor to Members of Congress, Governors, cabinet officials and clients, including corporate executives, business leaders, and heads of non-profit and charitable organizations.
He served as Chief of Staff of the New Jersey Department of Transportation under two Governors: Dick Codey and Jon Corzine. He began his tenure at the Department of Transportation as an aide to Commissioner Jamie Fox where he worked with the Blue Ribbon Transportation Commission to recommend long-term solutions to New Jersey’s Transportation Trust Fund. Joe began his career in Washington, DC holding senior positions including Legislative Assistant to then-United States Senator Bob Torricelli.
Joe also serves as Chief Executive Officer of NorthStar Strategies. He directs NorthStar’s client strategies and has built a firm that advises clients on myriad public policy issues, including a prominent transportation and energy infrastructure practice. Joe has been called as an expert witness in litigation matters related to transportation projects and policy. He was named to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s Transportation & Infrastructure Transition Advisory Committee in 2017. In 2019 he was appointed to the Transportation Engineering Advisory Committee of the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank. Joe was named to ROI-NJ’s 2024 ROI Influencers: Energy & Utilities list.
Fiordaliso serves on the New Jersey Committee of the Regional Plan Association and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Tri-State Transportation Campaign. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Gettysburg College in 1996 and is a 2010 Leadership New Jersey Fellow.

Abby Adams
Government Affairs Director – ACCNJ

Abby Adams is the Government Affairs Director for the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey (ACCNJ).
Abby started her career with ACCNJ in communications, but quickly developed an interest in New Jersey government and politics. She takes pride in representing ACCNJ, union contractors, and the union construction industry through lobbying in New Jersey’s Capitol.
Abby is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park and a resident of Asbury Park, NJ.

Justin Braz

Prior to joining MAD Global Strategy, Justin served as Chief of Staff and Assistant Commissioner for Transportation Policy at the New Jersey Department of Transportation. He assumed that role after being Governor Murphy’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative Affairs for five years.
He has also served as Senior Advisor to Murphy for Governor and the New Jersey Democratic State Committee 2021, Labor Director for Victory 2017 and was Chief of Staff to Assembly Budget Chairman Gary S. Schaer from 2013 until August 2017.
He also was the New Jersey Political Coordinator for 1199 SEIU and Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Annette Quijano. Additionally, Braz is a national board member and a founding member of the New Jersey Chapter of New Leaders Council, a leadership and professional development organization. He was the former Chairman of the State House Commission as the Governor’s representative.
Locally, he serves on the Bordentown City Planning and Zoning Board and as the Governor’s Representative on the Rowan College at Burlington County Board of Trustees. Braz also serves on the New Jersey State Committee of the Regional Plan Association.
